ASCAP 2015 Composers' Choice Awards

ASCAP Composers Choice

ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) has announced that voting is now open for the 2015 ASCAP Composers’ Choice Awards. Established in 2014, the Awards give ASCAP writer members an opportunity to honor their peers in film, TV and video game music. For 2015, the categories have been expanded to include: Film Score of the Year, TV Composer of the Year and Video Game Score of the Year.

The winners will be revealed at the ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards gala taking place in Beverly Hills on March 9. That evening, ASCAP will be honoring composers Elliot Goldenthal and Deborah Lurie with special awards.

Composers’ Choice nominees were handpicked by a select group of composers, film/TV industry leaders and members of the Game Audio Network Guild, an organization of video game music professionals. Over 500 ASCAP writers voted for the inaugural Composers’ Choice presentation last year.
