The Kinks compilation The Journey: Part 1 was released back in March of this year and, for the most part, that’s the “greatest hits” album. That’s the one with “You Really Got Me” and “All Day and All of the Night” on it. Part 2 is arguably more interesting, though, because it’s packed with deep cuts, b-sides and oddities that are all of immense interest to Kinks-heads. The new mixes are crystal clear, and we’re offered a reminder that the Kinks were way more than a “singles” band.
