Ghostwriter Music Announces New Hires

Ghostwriter Music — the leading production, publishing and sound design company — has announced further expansion of their team, hiring Macy Thompson as Director of A&R and Paige Mount as Customs Producer and Synch Manager, effective immediately.

With Thompson working out of the company’s Nashville office and Mount out of Ghostwriter’s Los Angeles office, it's a sign of the organization’s overall growth and magnitude of artist services, beyond custom music, that are being established.

Macy

“When Paige started with Ghostwriter, she immediately fell into place as an indispensable part of the team,” says Chris Bragg, the Founder/CEO of Ghostwriter Music. “Her proficiency in navigating the needs of our custom music clients and her ability to get the best out of our composers is amazing. Macy is one of the most personable people I’ve ever met. Her people skills and upbeat personality, along with an instinct for finding and developing talent for synch licensing make her a perfect fit for this position.”

Macy Thompson claims Nashville as her home after receiving her degree in Music Performance at Belmont University. Although her roots stem from the Southern United States, she has experience in the television, clearance, and music supervision field; from working in licensing under Christine Bergren to understanding all facets of the trailer world by assisting the music department of a major trailer agency in Los Angeles, CA. This direction was no spur of the moment, as she always dreamed of working in music synchronization and to be able to widen all opportunities for an artists’ careers. Macy has placed artists from the Ghostwriter roster in projects such as The Lost City (Paramount), Hawkeye(Disney +), Call of Duty, HBO’s Dear Rider Campaign, and more. Her hope for the industry is to be able to give artists from all different backgrounds and genres an opportunity to be heard around the world.

Paige

Paige Mount is a Customs Producer and Sync Manager at Ghostwriter Music. Paige’s love of music began as most music journeys do, being “forced” to listen to her dad's massive vinyl collection, which mostly contained The Beach Boys. Many live shows, music blogs and Soundcloud playlists later she began teaching herself how to play and produce her own music. The only thing that matched her love for music was her love of film. She attended film school in Chicago and soon after found herself in Los Angeles. While working on film sets and in animation production she never lost that passion for music; she started her own vinyl collection, with a little less Beach Boys, and began a hobby in concert photography. After some time she couldn’t help but to continue to search for a way to combine her passions. That’s when she began attending online classes at Berklee and UCLA, receiving her certificate in music supervision. Soon after that she met with the team at Ghostwriter Music and found they shared her passion for breakfast burritos, ice hockey and most importantly, movie trailers. Since she began working at Ghostwriter Music, Paige has placed custom and library music in campaigns for King Richard (WB), The Nevers (HBO), The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Disney), I Know What You Did Last Summer (Amazon), Call of Duty (Activision), No Time To Die (MGM), House of Gucci(MGM) and more.

Ghostwriter also recently hired Tim Hare as the organization’s Senior Director of Synch in May (more info here).

With key film studio clients including MarvelDisneySonyParamount20th Century StudiosWarner Bros. and Universal Pictures, among others, Ghostwriter Music is the leading music content provider and publisher in trailer music.

Adding to their Los Angeles presence, the company's growth now lends itself to last year’s opening of their  second office and staff in Nashville. The new middle-Tennessee office contains a mix stage and full post-production capabilities with the company’s founder/CEO Chris Bragg and COO Travis Michaud spearheading the new location. The Nashville location will concentrate on catalog growth and new artist development while the Los Angeles location— managed by Bryan Nguyen, Partner and Director, Creative Synch, and Paige Mount, Producer and Synch Manager—remains focused on custom music production.

"I am beyond grateful for the growth we’ve experienced since Ghostwriter was founded in 2015,” says Founder and CEO Chris Bragg. “We’ve built an amazing team over the past seven years with some of the hardest working people in the industry and I’m so excited for our future!"

Among the first companies to offer custom music composition for trailers, Ghostwriter is the go-to source for music and sound design that highlights upcoming feature films, as well as television programming from studios like Amazon, Apple, FXHBO, Hulu and Netflix, across all mediums of advertising.
