"Zip It Up! Too: More of the Best of Trouser Press" Edited By Ira A. Robbins

As members of the music press ourselves, we at MC love a good book about beloved music magazines and fanzines. There have been great books in recent years about Creem, Touch and Go, and very recently, Descenes. Trouser Press started out as a fanzine in New York back in 1974, and later become a glossy monthly mag before it came to an end in ’84. This is the sequel to 2024’s Zip It Up!, andeditor Robbins again does a great job of highlighting what was exceptional about Trouser Press, while simultaneously curating a cohesive piece of work. The likes of Slade, Blondie, and Iggy Pop get a look in, but it’s all worth reading.
