The sophomore project from Los Angeles’ V Torres (Gorgeous Got A Gun) explores resilience, healing, grief and freedom in her latest journey of self-discovery. With soulful indie-rock/Americana, Woman delivers polished instrumental punches, dark string sound, and intriguing vocals that alternate between gritty angst and clean storytelling.
Incorporating elements of grunge and soft country, the record provides a tasty insight into Torres' solo work. Lead single “Woman” provides a fabulous classic rock earworm, with the balance of the album delivering a great mix of rock, electronic-laced and cinematic sound.
