The ProPatch Family Just Got Bigger

On Monday, Wolff Audio announced the expansion of its ProPatch product line with three new models.

"Following the successful launch of the ProPatch 128R in late 2024, the company will introduce the ProPatch 32R, 64R, and 200R models throughout August and September 2025," they said. "At the heart of every ProPatch is Wolff Audio’s proprietary relay based, software controlled switching architecture. A patchbay’s role is to route signals without affecting them—a purely passive connection. ProPatch contains no buffers, amplifiers, or active electronics in the signal path. None. Active circuitry, by definition, alters how connected gear interacts: introducing noise, affecting impedance, shifting frequency response, and potentially disrupting 48V phantom power. ProPatch’s relay based passive signal path delivers direct, balanced routing with no coloration, no interference, and no compromise

"The overwhelming response to the ProPatch 128R showed us that studios of all sizes need this technology," said Jay Porter, CEO at Wolff Audio. "By offering configurations from 32 to 200 patch points, we're making ProPatch accessible to personal project studios while also providing expanded capacity for large-scale facilities."

Details, directly from Wolff Audio, are as follows:

Product Availability:

  • ProPatch 64R (32 in/32 out): Available August 2025
  • ProPatch 32R (16 in/16 out): Available early September 2025
  • ProPatch 200R (100 in/100 out): Expected late September 2025

All new models feature:

  • Relay-based switching with zero active electronics in the signal path
  • Software control via Windows or Mac Application
  • Instant preset recall and session management
  • Support for all signal types including mic, line, phantom power, control voltage, and MIDI
  • Intuitive drag-and-drop interface for creating complex signal chains
  • A/B comparison functionality and mult capabilities
  • Full MIDI support for automation control
  • 32 TT front panel patch points, as well as XLR and TRS connections

"Wolff Audio did it right by keeping the electronics out of the circuit and making the audio connections using relays. ProPatch wouldn't be in my mastering chain if it wasn’t literally the same as straight wire," said Pete Lyman, mastering engineer at Infrasonic.

Producer Vance Powell of Sputnik Sound added, "If it's not done with relays, it’s not going in my studio.  With ProPatch, anything can patch to anywhere with 100% transparency and I know there are not electronics f**king up my chains. ProPatch has become an indispensable part of my mixing and tracking workflow."

"Optional Dante and USB connectivity will be available later this year, with new 16x16 digital I/O cards. All ProPatch models will be upgradeable when the cards are available," they said. "The expansion of the ProPatch line demonstrates Wolff Audio's commitment to revolutionizing studio workflow while maintaining the highest standards of audio fidelity. Each model can be integrated with existing TT patchbay systems and multiple units can be chained together for larger routing configurations."
