Three decades in, Art Alexakis isn’t slowing down. As the founder and voice of Everclear, he helped define ‘90s alternative rock with songs like “Santa Monica” and “Father of Mine”—tracks born in honesty and personal experience.
Now, as the band celebrates the 30th anniversary of Sparkle and Fade with a national tour, Alexakis continues to reflect on the themes that have always shaped his work: fatherhood, growth, and the passage of time.
That perspective has only deepened following his diagnosis with multiple sclerosis. Rather than stepping back, he’s leaned in—continuing to tour, write, and connect with audiences.
Since forming in 1992, Everclear has sold over six million records and produced 12 Top 40 hits, but for Alexakis, the focus today is less about legacy and more about moving forward—with a clear sense of what matters most.
