From Kazakhstan to Hollywood, SANGINA never stopped carrying a piece of home in every song she writes.
The Kazakhstan-born singer-songwriter recently joined The Jeremiah Show to discuss a musical journey that has taken her from classical piano lessons and international television competitions to Los Angeles, where she has become an award-winning independent artist, producer, vocal coach, and one of the first Kazakh voting members of the Recording Academy.
Growing up, SANGINA explored everything from ballroom dance and the piano to choir before discovering that singing was more than a talent—it was a form of therapy. Determined to keep growing, she immersed herself in vocal techniques from around the world, eventually developing an artistic style that blends the musical traditions of her homeland with contemporary Western production.
During the conversation, she reflected on preserving the excitement of songwriting, embracing lifelong learning, and writing music that keeps her connected to her roots while helping aspiring artists become confident, independent performers rather than relying solely on a vocal coach.
She also shared the remarkable milestones of becoming a Grammy voting member and receiving multiple nominations at the Hollywood Independent Music Awards—achievements she once considered impossible.
