The 7th Annual Christmas Songwriting Competition Kicks Off

This is a limited time only opportunity when songwriters can enter Christmas or Holiday songs. If you are a songwriter or co-songwriter and you have an Original Christmas Song you have written or co-written like “Last Christmas” by Wham! or “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey, you may enter the Christmas/Holiday Songwriting Competition. You could be the top winner and have a special Christmas Songwriting trophy for that special place on your mantle and possible songwriting contract with a major music publishing house.

Also, the top 15 finalists’ songs will appear on our Christmas/Holiday Compilation CD, which will be promoted to various radio stations in USA and Canada. This is excellent music industry exposure for up-and-coming songwriters and music artists.

Songwriters Seay Harshaw Delgado and Jules Delgado won top honors with their song "A Christmas Heart". All top two winners were co-writes.

"We are honored and proud that a song with a special message of living with a giving living heart all year through won the competition!", said Seay Harshaw Delgado.

Singer-Songwriter Seay has studied voice with renowned vocal coaches Helena Shenel, Seth Riggs and Ray Hyson and has a graduate Art degree from the prestigious Sotheby's Art Institute, in London. Though she is American born and raised, her early childhood years were spent in the army, which led her to Korea and Japan, and later Spain and the United Kingdom. It was while living in London that her voice and songwriting got noticed, and her music career began, singing on records and projects for Motown, Warner Music, Carlin and producers and recording artists like Annie Lennox, Mick Ronson and Elaine Paige in London's music scene. Seay lives in Nashville and is married to inspirational author and musician Jules Delgado, a music producer and recording engineer who was produced Grammy winning artist Ricky Kej.

Songwriters Alessia Cohle, Patrick James Clark & Jordan Honsinger took the second prize with their song “Snow Day”.

Singer-Songwriter Larry Jay took the third prize with his song "Unwrap You".

All three winners received music publishing contracts offers from Christmas and Holiday Music Publishing, a leading music publisher who specializes in Christmas and Holiday Music.
