Skunk Anansie

"Little Baby Swastika"

"Who put the little baby swastika on the wall?" asked Skunk Anansie powerhouse Skin in 1995. The question is still relevant today.

Associate Editor Ruby Risch

Gorillaz (feat. Kali Uchis)

"She's My Collar"

Itches my brain, jounces my head, makes me feel cool.

Operations Manager Robin Rose

Don McLean

"American Pie"

Dealing with the most hateful, fascist times in this Country, the most poignant song of the times:

“For me, American Pie is the eulogy for a dream that didn’t take place,” says the song’s producer, Ed Freeman. “We were [ARE] witness to the death of the American dream.”

Editorial Intern Cade Pinkerson

Choking Victim

"Money"

In these trying capitalistic times, this punk classic is more relevant than ever. The track supersedes expectations, beginning with part of a speech from political scientist Michael Parenti before devolving into pure chaotic ska-punk madness. As Stza wails on about debt and greed, the song gets faster, the guitar gets messier, and everything climaxes in a rage-filled whirlwind. If you've recently felt like channeling your political rage with classic rock isn't doing it for you anymore, I'd suggest giving this track and the rest of the album a listen.
