"Power"
I recently caught German power-metallers Helloween at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, CA and, while the old classics from the Keeper of the Seven Keys albums naturally went down best with the enthusiastic crowd, this gem stuck in my head long after the show. It's not a new song--it's taken from the 1996 album The Time of the Oath--but it features later-era singer Andi Deris on lead vocals rather than the beloved Michael Kiske (both men are in the band now, amazingly). It should be considered a Helloween classic, as it has a chorus that you can hang your hat on.

"ARE WE STILL FRIENDS?"
I mean, it's a valid question.

I'm not a punk rock fan but good to hear this when pissed off. Good for a run too..but really love the message, especially at the end!

The Damned
"New Rose"
Often overlooked as the first official punk single to come out of the U.K. This track from The Damned is short but certainly not sweet, packing a punch in a little over two minutes. Vampiric singer Vanian chirps about a "New Rose", a double entendre referring to both a new love and a burgeoning new music scene.
