The aura of fall grows darker as Halloween approaches, and with it comes a certain whimsical mysticism. Sound System is feeling witchy so this week's playlist conjures lots of synths, bells, and breathy vocals, all of which make the cold weather feel more ethereal. Of course, Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac is a must, but 90's icons Cocteau Twins, Enya, and Mazzy Star also create a rich dreampop sound that's reflective of the mood, while Lebanon Hanover and Berlin bring a dancey energy into the gothic atmosphere (look for our Halloween playlist next week). Whether you're a good witch or a bad witch, this Spotify playlist has some magic for you.
