International Songwriting Competition 2017 Finalists Announced

The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has announced the finalists for the 2017 competition. Please click here to view the complete list.

Established in 2002, the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) is the world's largest and most prestigious songwriting competition and is open to all professional and amateur songwriters. Having received more than 16,000 entries from 130 countries, 344 songs have been selected as finalists in a wide variety of genres. Winners will be announced in April.

Winners will be selected by a panel of high-profile recording artists and music industry executives from Sony, Capitol, Sire, Elektra, Glassnote, Island, Razor & Tie, Concord Label Group, Warner Bros. Records, Alligator, Wind-Up, Interscope, New West, Black River Ent., Word, Syco, and many more. Click here for the list of judges.

ISC will award more than $150,000 in cash and prizes, including an overall Grand Prize consisting of $25,000 (US) cash and more. A total of 71 winners will be selected in 23 categories of music. All entrants retain full rights to their songs.

Winning ISC is a distinction that has propelled many artists to achieve greater success, including getting record and publishing deals, licensing agreements, gigs, and much more. Past winners have included: Vance Joy; Bastille; Gotye; Lindsey Stirling; Kimbra; The Band Perry; Kehlani; Andrew Bird; Passenger; Gin Wigmore; Missy Higgins; King Charles; for KING & COUNTRY; and many more.

Finalists have been selected in the following categories: AAA (Adult Album Alternative); AC (Adult Contemporary); Americana; Blues; Children's Music; Christian; Comedy/Novelty; Country; EDM (Electronic Dance Music); Folk/Singer-Songwriter; Instrumental; Jazz; Latin Music; Lyrics Only; Music Video; Performance; Pop/Top 40; R&B/Hip-Hop; Rock; Teen (for songwriters 18 and under); Unpublished (for songwriters without a major publishing deal); Unsigned Only (for songwriters without a major label record deal); and World Music.

ISC is currently accepting entries for the 2018 competition. Entrants can upload or mail their songs or give a link to their songs, making it really easy because ISC will go to their song online and listen to the songs there. Click here to enter.
