Shelter From The Storm Book Drive

Singer-songwriter and actor Tyler Hilton’s non-profit, T.H. Books for Kids, has announced a book drive to benefit Shelter from the Storm, an organization in the Coachella Valley of California that provides services for victims of domestic violence. The goal is to stock the Shelter from the Storm library so that the many children who come through their facility have a vast collection of books available. In addition, many of these books will be available for the children to keep.

Tyler Hilton, who appeared as young Elvis Presley in the film Walk the Line and had an ongoing guest role on the CW TV show One Tree Hill, officially launched T.H. Books for Kids in 2006. Physical book donations for the drive for Shelter from the Storm will be accepted at Tyler Hilton's upcoming Southern California shows with Ryan Cabrera and Teddy Geiger:

January 18 – Ventura, CA @ Zoey’s Café
January 19 – West Hollywood, CA @ Roxy Theatre
January 20 – San Juan Capistrano, CA @ The Coach House
January 21 – San Diego, CA @ Lestat’s

T.H. Books for Kids is also accepting PayPal donations to be used to purchase books. Money can be sent via PayPal to [email protected]. Additionally, mailed book donations or gift cards for Barnes and Noble are also welcomed, and can be shipped to T.H. Books For Kids, 44770 N. Harland Dr., La Quinta, CA 92253. The deadline for the Shelter from the Storm drive is Jan. 21, but donations made after will go toward the next project by T.H. Books for Kids. New or very gently used books for children of all ages are requested. For book ideas, please visit the T.H. Books for Kids’ online store, powered by Amazon.
