Pop/rock artist Brooke Josephson captivates her audience with her natural storytelling and rule-breaking vocals. The Los Angeles based singer-songwriter gears up for her live performance at Hollywood’s Hotel Cafe on March 16th at 9:00 pm.
After training in vocal performance and touring with the all girls group Agape for three years during college, Brooke became a principal performer at The Round Barn Theatre in New York City. Shortly after, Josephson landed roles on All My Children (ABC), Bones (FOX), Disney’s Enchanted, and others. After settling down with her husband Barry Josephson (TV/Film Producer) and earning her Masters certificate in songwriting from Berklee School of Music, Brooke self-released her debut EP Live and Let Live in 2013.
Since then, Josephson has released numerous singles and her recent EP, Sexy N’ Domesticated. The five-song collection showcases a cohesive blend of rock fused pop music. Filled with growling kicks and spicy punches, Brooke’s relatable and captivating stories come to life. Her music highlights the struggle of balancing the everyday life with a career. Brooke says Sexy N’ Domesticated is “for the modern day woman mastering the art of shape shifting between wife, mom, and work.” The EP was praised by Pop Dose, Vents Magazine, Mom Angeles, and more! AXS noted, “The five-song EP…celebrates female-empowerment and showcases Josephson's knack for combining introspective storytelling with catchy melodies and a groove-ridden backbeat.”
Following the release of Sexy N’ Domesticated, Brooke toured through some of Southern California’s notable singer-songwriter venues and concert halls, including: House of Blues (Anaheim), The Mint, Peppermint Club, to name a few.
