Professor & the Madman Can't Do Without Their TC Electronics ECHOBRAIN Analog Delay

Sean Elliott of punk vets Professor & the Madman told us about his ECHOBRAIN love...

Sean Elliott: I can't live without my TC Electronics ECHOBRAIN Analog Delay

It’s the only pedal I use. It adds just the right amount of flavor without killing the straight-in sound of the Marshall JCM800 amps I play through. Whether it’s "Hang 10 in East Berlin" or "Haunted House," I end up using it on every song.

I used to be a reverb guy with a heavy surf sound, but when I joined the punk rock group D.I., my tone needed more gain, so reverb was out and delay was in. And it had to be analog so it could run on batteries—I hate running extension cords out to the stage.

I used to burn through other brands of analog delays, but I’ve had my TC Electronic EchoBrain Analog Delay for 10 years now without a single issue. Love this thing.

Professor & the Madman's Dreamworld album is out August 7.
