New Soul Power, the new worldwide soul compilation series, presents the kickoff of a new concert series called "Cali Got Soul!" Sunday, April 16, in Los Angeles. Free to attend for Music Connection readers, the Cali Got Soul concert series features the best soul singers from across the country, who are a part of the new NOW!-type compilation series (20 great songs and artists twice a year). The tagline of the album and concert series is, “It’s Time For More REAL Singers, REAL Players & REAL Songs,” a celebration of talent and expressive lyrics and vocalizing, away from the pre-programmed and auto-tuned computerized sounds. New Soul Power is a worldwide movement, sparking a platform for soul-oriented artists, producers and venues. Artists like the U.K.’s Rag ‘n Bone Man, whose soul single “Human” is topping charts all over the world, showcase the love for great singers and soulful voices that are sparking the movement.
