Saving the best for last, the second night of KROQ Absoult Almost Christmas ended with a electric headlining performance from Florence and the Machine. The night also included sets by Death Cab for Cutie’ Bastille, Mike Shinoda, Billie Eilish, Young The Giant, Chvrches, Mike Posner and Lovelytheband.
Highlights include Mike Posner accompanied by his fantastically fun band and saxophonist. Mike Shinoda surprising the crowd with K. Flay and grandson, plus his touching tribute of Linkin Park’s “In the End” to Chester Bennington. Bastille’s Dan Smith surprised the crowd by jumping into the pit during the performance “Flaws.” And at just 16, Billie Eilish made her KROQ debut with a thrilling performance that had all the tweens in the crowd screaming.
KROQ managed to deliver a night of great music and for a great cause. Portions of the show benefit Para Los Niños, the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center and the American Red Cross.
