Courtney Taylor-Taylor of The Dandy Warhols told us about his love for a Love & Rockets gem.
Courtney Taylor-Taylor: I saw recently where somebody had given this record a rather low, maybe 2 1/2 star rating way back when. It was gratifying, however, to see that it had gotten re-reviewed and re-evaluated and pumped up to four or maybe five stars even.
The reviewer’s language, I found particularly apropos as they said something to the effect of “a guitar experience, unlike any other.” So true, so true.
I was 19 years old and helping Portland‘s first gothic band The Dilemma Sect produce some songs when this record came out. We must’ve listened to this record 50 times in the first month.
Listening to it now, it still blows my mind. Dig it.
