British rock band Muse rocked the Los Angeles Staples Center and lived up to their “best live band” reputation.
With elaborate production and lights, the band performed on a rotating 360-degree stage, and kept their ground effortlessly, especially lead vocalist and guitarist Matt Bellemy and bassist Christopher Wolstenholme who moved around a lot.
Muse played a 19-song set—with a two-song encore—and the crowd was singing along to all the big hits such as “Time is Running Out.” The songs played spanned from older Muse tunes harkening to the early 2000s—“Plug In Baby” (2001), “Hysteria” (2003)—to songs from their most recent 2015 release Drones.
For the encore, confetti and streamers burst out for "Mercy,” and the night ended with 2006’s “Knights of Cydonia.”
