K-pop singer KAI kicked off his first solo U.S. tour, KAION, with a show-stopping night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Aug. 28th. KAI is best known as a member of EXO, the group known for redefining K-Pop history, and SuperM, often referred to as the Avengers and all-stars group of the K-Pop realm.
Fans have long anticipated KAI’s return to music as he took time off to complete his mandatory 2-year military service. He officially completed his service this February and has wasted no time returning to music. In April, he released his fourth mini-album, Wait On Me—a seven-track project that further displayed his signature R&B and Hip-Hop-influenced style.
With a hefty 21-song set, the show was separated into three chapters that highlighted KAI’s talent. It was a nice variety of his music catalog as he also included songs from EXO in his set. KAI’s charisma and showmanship stole the show, as he showed off his mesmerizing dance moves and vibrant costume changes. Fans went wild as he sang fan favorites “Adult Swim” and “Rover.” All through the night, they sang along very loudly to every word and cheered along every moment. The entire venue was full of excitement for his grand return.
