Situated at the Del Mar Racetrack and adjacent Fairgrounds — just north of San Diego on the Southern California coast —KAABOO Del Mar 2017 event will be held the weekend of Sept. 15-17.
This year’s headliners include alternative rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers (first-day headliners), Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (scheduled to close out the event), Muse and pop songstress Pink (Saturday co-headliners). Also confirmed to appear are Weezer, Jane’s Addiction (the group’s only 2017 performance scheduled), David Guetta, Garbage, Smash Mouth, Ice Cube, Michael McDonald, Jason Derulo, Dave Mason, Jackson Browne, Andy Grammer, Kesha, Alanis Morissette and more. You can also get your laugh on with nationally recognized comedians at KAABOO’s indoor, air-conditioned, seated “Humor Me” comedy club. Headling the list of comedians, are Patton Oswalt, David Spade, and Sebastian Maniscalco. Also booked to appear are Arsenio Hall, Norm MacDonald, Demetri Martin, Maria Bamford, Bridgett Everett, Bryan Callen, Al Madrigal, Taylor Williamson and Nick Swardson.
The weekend will also feature national and international artists in this year’s Contemporary Art Fair exhibition (see artist profiles here); local and regional gourmet cuisine and spirits created by today’s culinary rock stars; Spa and relaxation zones — gentlemen’s hot shaves, hair, makeup, massages, and tattoo brightening at “Indulgences”; A high-end, late night dance party (18+) featuring award-winning DJs at “Club Elevate” and a poolside lounge experience.
One- and two-day passes are on sale, starting at $119 and $239, respectively. Three-day passes, Hang Loose (GA), and Hang Five are still available, beginning at $299. Three-day passes include additional access to Amplify Zones, which provide premier stage viewing areas at each stage, private restroom facilities, and access to the Thursday night Sneak Peek kickoff party featuring Barenaked Ladies and The Dan Band. For every pass sold, $1 will be distributed among organizations with distinct causes in the San Diego area.
