Jordan Maye: My favorite piece of gear is my 2019 Fender, classic design, 60SCE Dreadnought 12-string, acoustic-electric guitar. Fender guitars have always been an essential part of my repertoire, but lately, my Fender 12-string is the instrument that I can’t put down. There’s something about the 12-string that makes every chord feel cinematic. Whether I'm writing a new song or performing live, the richness of the sound gives my music a sense of depth and motion that’s hard to replicate.
I also love the Fender's versatility, from the classic Tele twang to the low Strat textures. But, the 12-string gives me the power to change the tone and mood of my music. It's ideal for fingerpicking patterns that allow me to move between folk, pop, and indie rock.
