Fort William Artist Management Welcomes Three Managers

Fort William Artist Management has welcomed three new managers to the team. New York City-based Aja Pecknold, Los Angeles-based Nicky Berger and NYC-based Dave Godowsky. Founded in 2011 by partners Ami Kay Spishock, Darius Van Arman, Ben Swanson and Chris Swanson, the company has offices in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, CA and Bloomington, IN. "I'm excited to welcome like-minded, hard-working, independent, creative managers," notes Spishock. "We've been deliberate in not growing the company too fast. We're very thankful the company has grown to a place where it is attractive to these three established managers. They are exactly the type of managers we've patiently looked forward to working with since Fort William opened its doors."

Pecknold brings Fleet Foxes and Kevin Morby to the roster. "Fort William is a bastion for both artists and their managers—offering support and community furthering the advancement of their careers while preserving fundamental ethos and integrity."

Berger arrives with Grouplove and Holychild. "Over the last several months, I've been fortunate to spend time with Ami and the rest of the Fort William team and have been consistently impressed by their focused dedication to growing the careers of the artists with whom they work. We share a like-minded approach to artist management and I'm incredibly excited to see where we go together."

Godowsky represents Cass McCombs, Field Report, Okkervil River and Speedy Ortiz. "Over the years, I've watched Fort William continually set the standard of excellence in a constantly-changing music industry. Now I'm proud to be joining them. Most importantly, the bands I represent have an ideal home here."

The company's artist roster now includes The War On Drugs, Grizzly Bear, Fleet Foxes, Beirut, Grouplove, Cass McCombs, Kevin Morby, Holychild, Okkervil River, Sondre Lerche and Jens Lekman among others, as well as producers including Joe Chiccarelli, John Congleton, Chris Walla, Brian Deck, Joey Waronker, Ali Chant, via Adam Katz and Next Wave Management.
