Woodstock 50th Anniversary

Enter the Woodstock 50th Anniversary Contest

August 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, a concert that changed music and culture forever. This fall, the DePaul Humanities Center will celebrate Woodstock's golden anniversary with a special event featuring scholarly lectures and live performances.

Video-record you or your band performing an original interpretation of a song from Woodstock, then send your entry to H. Peter Steeves, Director of the DHC, at [email protected]. Use the subject line "Woodstock Contest." Video entries may be submitted via email attachment, DropBox, or links to online videos.

Up to six acts will be chosen to perform live at our event. Each winning act will receive $500.

To enter, you must be available for both the live performance (from 6-9pm) and a sound-check (sometime between 3-6pm) on October 7, 2019.

Contest closes at midnight on August 18. Winners will be contacted before the end of August to arrange the specifics of their live performance.
