On a warm August night, Blondie took to the stage and put on a fun, crowd-pleasing show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Debbie Harry, always a fashion-forward person, glammed in a mirror-squares dress that effectively evoked the band’s many nods to disco (including a nod to Giorgio Moroder), but the rocking edge prevailed, including some dazzling guitar work from Tommy Kessler. The early hits included “Hangin’ on the Telephone,” and the classics included “Heart of Glass.”
Co-headliner Elvis Costello & The Imposters opened with “Pump it Up” and followed with "Accidents Will Happen" and many more from his inexhaustible catalog of great songs, old and new. The co-headlining tour, which began in July at Bethel, NY, wrapped up in Seattle on August 10th.
