Dear Spring Sign to Open Your Ears Records

Post pop-punk band Dear Spring have announced their signing to Open Your Ears Records. Alongside the announcement, the band has introduced fans to a new era for the band with a new single and video “Every Now And Then. Fans can stream the new single now at orcd.co/enat and watch the music video, directed by Carter Louthian, at youtu.be/9KUtUlG-WGc.

Speaking on the new release the band shares, “'Every Now And Then' comes from two voices. One reaches to the past wondering what could have been; the other presses to get over what has been for anything better. Dave was inspired by a time of great change in his life when we wrote the first verse of the song. From there, it was the first song that we completed and truly where Dear Spring found the sound of the next era for our band. When it came time to complete the lyrics for the song, Jonah filled in the second voice, speaking from a fear of repeating past mistakes with learned perseverance. This song embodies the conversation between the two voices. The music video for 'Every Now And Then' is our love letter to the Washington D.C. music scene, spotlighting the music venues that mean the most to us and showcasing our hometown. We're all excited to be announcing our signing to Open Your Ears Records with this release."

Washington DC's Dear Spring is blending the old with the new to deliver post pop punk anthems that transcend genre. In an age of disconnection, Dear Spring sounds like 4 best friends in a room, giving birth to something powerful and fresh. If one were to describe Dear Spring, they would characterize their songs as having driving vocals, catchy layered guitar voicings, and a powerful rhythm section. Most of all, their music is made to make you feel something.

Dear Spring is David Colon-Margolies (vocals, guitar), Martin MacAlister (drums), Jonah Tenney (vocals), Kamran Hassan (guitar, vocals).
