BMI Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

BMI has announced it will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with ongoing initiatives across its digital and social platforms to recognize and honor the history, culture and rich contributions Latinos have brought to music, our communities and beyond. To kick off the celebration, Mexican American singer/songwriter Nancy Sanchez speaks on how her roots and culture inspires her music on BMI’s Know Them Now. Additionally, an exclusive interview with Latin GRAMMY award-winning producers Andrés Torres and Edgar Barrera will air this month, as part of BMI’s Música y Más: Producers Edition, where they discuss coming up in the industry, their big break and advice for emerging songwriters and producers.

Keep an eye out for special interviews by Cuban singer/songwriter Aymée Nuviola and Mexican singer/songwriter Mario Quintero on BMI.com. Follow on Instagram for various takeovers throughout the month by Latinx artists including Ray C, Ecko, Dimelo Flow, Gregorio Uribe and Mirella Cesa.

Check out a Spotify playlist, a mixture of both classic and contemporary hits by a diverse selection of artists including J Balvin, Juan Luis Guerra, Gloria Estefan, Tainy, Karol G, Belinda, Adriel Favela and many more. In the following weeks, BMI will have more exclusive content from Camilo FroidevalMaria Vertiz and Chicocurlyhead.
