Leading independent music publisher BIG MACHINE MUSIC, a subsidiary of HYBE America, has announced on their 11th anniversary long-term extensions of exclusive co-publishing agreements with chart-topping songwriters LAURA VELTZ, JESSIE JO DILLON and MADDIE & TAE.
“We’re ecstatic to celebrate 11 years of Big Machine Music with the continuation of our partnerships with Laura Veltz, Jessie Jo Dillon and Maddie & Tae,” said BMM’s General Manager MIKE MOLINAR. “We feel privileged to enjoy commercially successful and personal relationships with all four these uniquely gifted songwriting talents. Their trust in us is truly a validation of our long-term vision and approach.”
Named Billboard’s 2022 Songwriter of the Year, Laura began her decade-long relationship with BMM in 2013 and has since penned songs for some of the biggest names in music including Demi Lovato, Maren Morris, Idina Menzel, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Kelly Clarkson, Monsta X, Kane Brown and more. She took home both the 2020 ACM and CMA Awards Song of the Year + 2021 BMI Pop Song of the Year for co-penning Morris’ chart-topping smash “The Bones,” propelling Laura to become the first woman to claim the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Country Songwriters chart. Notching four GRAMMY Awards® nominations to date, Laura was included in the inaugural class of nominees for Songwriter of the Year earlier this year. For film, she recently co-wrote Lovato’s “Still Alive” for Scream 6 and Menzel’s “Dream Girl” for the Amazon adaptation of Cinderella.
Three-time GRAMMY® Awards Best Country Song nominee Jessie Jo is celebrating a banner year penning Old Dominion’s Top 10-and-rising single “Memory Lane,” Catie Offerman’s debut single “I Just Killed A Man” and Megan Moroney’s critically-acclaimed “Girl in The Mirror,” plus fresh cuts by HARDY, Brandy Clark, Nate Smith, Jelly Roll and Jake Owen. First signing to BMM in 2016, Jessie Jo’s songbook of hits include Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber’s global, crossover smash “10,000 Hours” as well as Cole Swindell’s No. 1 “Break Up in The End,” which earned her an ACM Awards Song of the Year nomination and NSAI Song of the Year Award.
Award-winning duo Maddie & Tae, comprised of Maddie Font and Taylor Kerr, also extend their relationship with BMM past a decade. The partnership has seen their rise from teenagers fresh out of high school to perennial hitmakers. The pair first topped the charts with their PLATINUM-certified debut “Girl In A Country Song,” establishing them as only the third female duo in 70 years to top the Country Airplay charts. Following with the Top 10 PLATINUM-certified “Fly” as well as GOLD-certified “Friends Don’t,” their recent 3X PLATINUM certified, No. 1 smash “Die From A Broken Heart” earned ASCAP Country and Pop Awards in 2022 and solidified them as the first and only female twosome to score multiple No. 1s on the Country Airplay chart.
