Art Organization Crosstown Arts will Open Applications for Music Residencies

Crosstown Arts, a contemporary art organization based in Memphis, Tenn., will accept applications beginning May 15 for its multidisciplinary residencies, which will begin in 2020.  These residencies are open not only just to Memphis-based creatives, but to anyone who wants to further explore their talents.  Applicants will also find there are a variety of residencies available including visual and performing arts, music, film, and all genres of writing.

All residencies include private studio workspaces, furnished lodging, meals provided five days a week, access to recording equipment, software, and shared recording studios.  Along with this, Crosstown Arts has a partnership with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, which allows orchestra members to collaborate with residents.

Family housing options are available as well as accessible housing for residents with disabilities. Residencies also range from 20 days to 10 months with two three-month residency periods in the spring and fall.  Anyone over the age of 21 is encouraged to apply.  Applications will close on July 15.
