Summer is a great time to develop musical skills, and The Los Angeles College of Music offers multiple experiences spanning over three weeks designed to give teens aged 12 and up, college students, and students of all ages interested in music as a career a leg up on the competition. Located in the heart of the entertainment and music capitol of the world, LACM’s Summer at LACM programs start June 17, 2024, and are taught by faculty currently touring, producing, writing and working with music's top talent.
Programs include Summer Xperience, which offers Music Performance (taught by LACM faculty including Erin Workman – Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Zac Efron), Songwriting (taught by LACM faculty including Kasia Livingston -- Pussycat Dolls, Britney, Flo Rida) Music Production (taught by LACM faculty including Andrew Murdock – Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack), Composing for Visual Media (taught by LACM faculty including Brett Perry – “That 70’s Show”, “Will and Grace”, “Reba”), Music Entrepreneurship (taught by LACM faculty including Adam LaRue – manager of Jerry Harrison of the Talking Heads, Grabbitz and marketing for Mavis Staples, Plain White T’s, Rancid), Independent Artist Study, and the new Pro Artist track, as well as “Bandwidth Jazz and the Journey” taught by LACM Faculty Bryan Lipps (Michael Bublé, John Mayer, Joe LaBarbara Jazz Quintet) and “Rap & Hip-Hop Change the World” taught by LACM faculty including Jameel Roberts (Nicki Minaj, Usher, Ariana Grande).
The deadline to apply and receive the 20% discount is Monday, April 15 and enrollment/payment must be completed by May 1, 2024.
LACM is drawing winners monthly for a free week of LACM programming! To be considered, students should submit the free application, and mention how they heard about us (Print, TV, Friend, Other etc...) Scholarships are also available.
