Mononeon visually grabs your attention with his bright and suitably neon attire. And he’s musically legit! This singer-songwriter and funkalicious bassist is a GRAMMY winner and former bandmate of Prince. Guests such as George Clinton and Katt Williams bring authenticity to the album’s funk and narrative elements. Christone “Kingfish” Ingram adds some tasty guitar on a track as well. But overall, Mononeon proves to be a crafty lyricist and a superb vocalist/arranger all rolled into one. This is a cut above your pedestrian pop experience.
