Kim Theory is an all-girl band from Los Angeles. They filled us in on some of their "favorite pieces of equipment that we love and use all the time."
Zoey Su: as the drummer, protecting my ears is a vital part of keeping my body in shape to drum. I really prioritize earplugs, specifically loop earplugs- they block out the sharp tones that could hurt my ears whilst also allowing me to hear the rest of the band. And to add they are also very comfortable and easy to carry in my pocket on the go for gigs.
Lula Seifert: As someone who plays guitar, it has taken me a long time to find the sound I like. I finally found the sound I like, which comes from a super overdrive pedal, and a Vox Cambridge50 amp. This creates a sound that feels authentic to us and the music we make. I love the grungy, loud guitar that I get on our songs.
Lucy Fraser: I really like my Mogami cables. They are trustworthy, reliable, and sound great. And I feel confident playing with them.
Kim Theory's Trophy Wife EP is out now.
