GRAMMY®-nominated composer Zain Effendi is currently nominated for "Best Instrumental Composition" for his piece "Opening,” a breathtaking number created for Disney's EPCOT: Test Track.
After being invited by Hans Zimmer to join Remote Control Productions at 23 years old, he contributed to some of the most iconic scores of the modern era, including The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Transformers, Kung Fu Panda, The Holiday, and Frost/Nixon.
Effendi’s song "Opening" from his seventy-minute original score for EPCOT’s Test Track - a symphonic-electronic work released by Walt Disney Records - has topped Amazon charts, hit #1 on the official Walt Disney World playlist, and reached the iTunes Top 10 while playing in perpetuity at Disney World.
His music is also heard daily across Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disney’s Starcruiser Hotel, and Shanghai Disneyland’s Adventure in Rhythm, making him one of the few composers whose work quietly scores both Hollywood and real-world, multi-sensory environments.
