"Just Maybe"
The world lost a real one recently, with the passing of Detroit rock 'n' roller Tony Romeo (pictured left). As well as being a great bass player and a charismatic stage presence, Romeo was about as sweet a guy as you could hope to meet. He's best known for his time in gloriously trashy glitter punks the Trash Brats, so I've picked one of their songs here. It could have been any of their songs. Romeo later played bass for Easy Action, featuring Negative Approach's John Brannon. Check out that band and, in particular, their cover of Cheap Trick's "Elo Kiddies." RIP, Tony.

Gotta love some fantastic sarcasm in stereo.

"A Day in the Life"
Considered a masterpiece, it is iconic and innovative for it's time. With a 40-piece orchestra, it goes from reflective to upbeat, ending in the famous iconic 40 second sustained chords. Lyrically, it speaks of the detachment and apathy of humans to constant violence, inequity and horrific treatment of humanity which becomes mundane....not unlike all these years later.

"Islands in the Stream"
It’s a great cover of a perfect song from a funny movie, so I couldn’t ask for much more.
