ZZ Top Doc Premiere at ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood, CA

ZZ Top: That Little Ol’ Band From Texas premiered last night at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood, California. Legendary publicist Bob Merlis moderated a Q&A with ZZ Top members Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill, as well as director Sam Dunn, following the film.  The documentary takes fans through the full history of the group including how the group formed to ending with the band rehearsing together in recent years.  From humble beginnings as a trio playing small clubs around Texas, ZZ Top became one of the most successful rock bands worldwide.

In attendance were Matt Sorum (Deadland Ritual/ Kings of Chaos), Gilby Clarke (Ex-GNR), Blasko (Ozzy Osbourne),  Rita Haney, radio DJ Uncle Joe Benson, Jesse Hughes (Eagles of Death Metal), Josh Homme, legendary rodeo clown Ralph Fisher, and Robin Hood Brian (Robin Hood Studios).

ZZ Top’s 50th Anniversary tour begins Aug. 21 in Woodinville, WA and ends in Shreveport, LA on Nov. 9.
