Tim Montana & American Thread Raise $250,000 for Military

Country rocker and bearded businessman Tim Montana recently shared that his third annual Tim Montana & Friends American Thread Sporting Clays Shoot held on Tuesday, October 4 raised over a quarter of a million dollars for military charities Special Ops Xcursions and Memorial 3 Gun Foundation.Each year the event donates even more than it did the lastbringing together a staggering number of supporters – including celebrity guests Lee Brice, Colbie Caillat, Tyler Farr, Tracy Lawrence, Aaron Lewis, Michael Ray, Sean Stemaly, Travis Pastrana, Streetbike Tommy and more – who competed on the sporting clays course to raise funds the best way possible, with guns - music - and tons of freedom!

“Veterans Day is every day in my mind,” says Tim. “I’m fortunate to do what I do for a living because of those that sacrifice their lives for our freedom.  Giving back is so important and I’m honored to be able to help.”


Special Ops Xcursions
 provide active-duty SOF service members, their teams, and families with outdoor adventures. Events include hunting, fishing, shooting trap and skeet, archery range days, family retreats and intro to the outdoors programs, African Safaris, music writing getaways with Nashville recording artists, camping, and more.

Memorial 3 Gun Foundation remembers, honors and memorializes fallen Special Operations soldiers through the world of competitive shooting. The foundation wants the families to know they are not alone during and after this tragic time. During the competition, the fallens’ stories are shared, so all can remember who these heroes were and the lives they led.
