THE JEREMIAH SHOW - MELVIN RILEY: No AI

Melvin Riley has never believed great songs come from chasing trends or algorithms. As the founder and lead singer of Ready for the World, he built a career on writing music that connected with people long after it left the radio. Four decades later, that approach hasn't changed.

His new album, NO AI, isn't a rejection of technology as much as it is a reminder of what listeners value most: authenticity. Riley believes audiences can tell when music comes from real experience, and that authenticity is something no software can duplicate.

During his conversation on The Jeremiah Show, Riley spoke about trusting instinct, writing from the heart, and creating songs that make people feel something. For him, music has always been personal. "It's spiritual," he said. "You hear it—but have you ever seen it walk through the door?"

That philosophy has carried him from the biggest R&B stages of the 1980s to the present day. While the music business continues to evolve, Melvin Riley remains committed to the same idea that started it all: people connect with what's real.

After four decades in music, Melvin Riley still believes the most powerful instrument in the studio is the human heart.
