Submit to Women's Freedom Song Contest

The Women's Freedom Song Contest is looking for the next “Female Anthem.” Do you have an inspiring song about women to share?

This contest is open to everyone who writes songs, (all genders too!), even your pet canary if he (or she) writes songs (though you may have to submit on their behalf).

Submissions should be songs celebrating the power of a woman in all aspects of her glory. Originality, melody and lyrics are our main judging criteria. "We have some neat prizes for songwriters and our winners will be promoted on our websites and social media blasts."

Submit an “indie” music video with a “female theme,” and a documentary short under ten minutes that deals with female-related issues.

Your music will be in front of Award winning songwriter Sandy Ramos (Rhett Akins and songs recorded by the Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Anne Murray, Kenny Rogers), Brent Backhus (recording engineer for The Whispers, John Lee Hooker, Solomon Burke), David Eaton (producer/engineer for Polyphonic Spree, Dynamite Hack, Archivist for top tier record label), Rick Rose (former staff writer for Sony ATV Nashville & Warner Chappel), Sara Knight (Talent Mgmt. & Booking Agency), Kim Krizan (Academy Award Nominee for Best Adapted Screenplay and a Writers Guild Award), Diana Williamson (2 x #3 Billboard Hot Club Chart Writer, Author 101 Tips and Tricks of Successful Songwriting, and CEO of Themusiclibrary.org) and Ruth McCartney - a highly skilled, new media entrepreneur.

Winners will be announced on International Womens Day, March 8, 2021.
