Wolfsbane

"Kathy Wilson"

1991 started with me and my mate Paul going to see MC Hammer, but by the summer of that same year, we were full on metal-heads. Part of that conversion came courtesy of Tamworth rockers Wolfsbane, our biggest local band. We saw them at the Tamworth Rock Festival, a free event, and never looked back. "Kathy Wilson," a song about alien abduction, is among their best. Incidentally, singer Blaze Bayley would later join Iron Maiden for two albums that many people don't like but I do. Meanwhile, Wolfsbane is still touring and they're still great. Oh, and that MC Hammer show was awesome too.

Gustav Holst

"The Planets, Op. 32: IV. Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity"

It's one of, if not THE, most celebrated work from Holst... and for good reason. Exhilarating!

Operations Manager Robin Rose

Buffalo Springfield

"For What It's Worth"

After 60 years, it's more relevant today than ever!

The Pretty Reckless

"When I Wake Up"

One of the latest fiery tracks teased off The Pretty Reckless's latest album. The song illustrates the thoughts that transpire during a wild bender. Paired with a music video equally as raunchy, the song is full of sex, substances, and social deviance. Taylor Momsen's voice is better then ever, making the track feel perfect for both a rise to glory and a fall from grace.
