Round Hill Music Signs Musical Siblings Jerry and Katreese Barnes to a Worldwide Administration Deal

Round Hill Music has announced the signing of Grammy Award-winning accomplished musical siblings Jerry and Katreese Barnes to a worldwide administration deal which includes catalogue and future releases. Known from their days as the R&B duo Juicy (“Sugar Free,” “Beat Street Strut” from the movie “Beat Street”), the Barnes’ went on to have highly-successful respective careers as producers, composers, touring musicians and more. Of the signing, Jerry Barnes commented, "We look forward to a productive and prosperous collaboration with Round Hill!”

Jerry Barnes is currently touring as the bassist for Nile Rodgers and Chic. He has produced, performed and written for such global superstars as Roberta Flack, Chaka Khan, Carly Simon, Whitney Houston, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Patti Labelle, Christina Aguilera, Raul Midon, Queen Latifah, Diana Ross, Angélique Kidjo, Bette Midler, Nas, Sting, Disclosure, Sigala, Ella Eyre, Empire Of The Sun, the Rocket Man movie with Taron Egerton, Donald Fagen, Anitta, Jota Quest and more.

Katreese Barnes is a two-time Emmy Award-winning singer-songwriter as well as a Grammy-nominated pianist. She is also a composer who has written some of the most well-known music from the legendary late night sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live, where she was also Music Director and pianist, including “Dick In A Box,” (Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg) “Deep House Dish,” What Up With That” and more. For Timberlake, she also wrote the Emmy-nominated “I Love Sports” featured on ESPN for the ESPYs when he hosted. She has written for Chaka Khan and Roberta Flack, sang back-up for Sting and played saxophone for D’Angelo. Performing and recording credits also include Mariah Carey, Alicia Keyes, Billy Joel, Carly Simon, Jonathan Butler, Jewel and Bette Midler. Barnes was also the band leader for season 1 of the comedy game show “Oh Sit” on the CW Network as well as for “The Rosie Show” on OWN.
