At CD Baby’s DIY Musician Conference 2019, Questlove, Co-Founder and CEO of Jaxsta, Jacqui Louez Schoorl and panel moderator Kevin Breuner, CD Baby’s VP of Marketing, held a keynote titled “The Future of Creating Music.”  In a lively conversation, the three experts shared what the future might hold for independent creators, their various thoughts on the ever-changing music business landscape and much more.

Founded in 2015, Jaxsta was created to meet the need for a globally recognized comprehensive database of official credit information for artists, musicians, songwriters, producers, engineers and all members of the music community. The go-to authoritative source of music information, Jaxsta is collecting catalogue data from major and independent record labels, publishers, royalty agencies and industry associations across the globe. The data is de-duplicated, cross-referenced, deep-linked and then made available online within a multi-functional, ever-evolving platform.

Jaxsta launched an open beta of its groundbreaking music database platform in June. Jaxsta Pro is scheduled to launch in the final quarter of 2019.

Jaxsta has entered into numerous partner agreements in the past two years with entities including The Recording Academy, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Merlin, APRA AMCOS and more.

Jaxsta’s head office is based in Sydney, with representatives in New York, London and Los Angeles.
