MusiCares is bringing back its Humans of Hip Hop (H3) Health & Wellness Clinic to Los Angeles on Tuesday, June 24. This full-day event offers free wellness services specifically designed for music professionals in hip hop—from artists and producers to engineers and industry insiders.

Founded in 1989 by the Recording Academy, MusiCares is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of music creators and professionals. A statement from the company reveals, “MusiCares helps the humans behind music because music gives so much to the world,” providing “preventive, emergency and recovery programs” that serve as a safety net for those who work in music.
The event will be held at MusiCares / Recording Academy headquarters, located at 3030 Olympic Blvd, Santa Monica, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. It is open to music professionals with five or more years of experience (non-consecutive) or six or more commercially released credits, regardless of label affiliation. Attendance and all services are free of charge.
Attendees can take advantage of a wide range of wellness services, including:
- A financial wellness workshop led by entertainment executive and celebrity financial expert Dr. Lynn Richardson
- Vision screenings and access to eyewear
- Dental screenings
- Custom ear molds
- Therapy sessions and mental health screenings
- Massage and physical therapy
A statement from the company highlights that “Supported by Vivid Seats and Amazon Music, this event is part of our Humans of Hip Hop initiative—MusiCares’ national effort to meet music professionals where they are and support their unique needs.” Previous H3 clinics have taken place in cities like Atlanta, Detroit, New York, Oakland, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Chicago.
Artists such as Saweetie, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Killer Mike (Run the Jewels), Young Dro, MC Lyte, and Bobby Brackins have all participated in Humans of Hip Hop programming, helping to spread the message that support exists for everyone in the hip hop community—both on stage and behind the scenes.
This event is more than just free health services; it’s a way to recognize and support the people who create the music that shapes culture.
