Gibson, the storied guitar brand behind generations of music icons, and Guitar Center, the largest retailer of musical instruments, are teaming up with GRAMMY-winning artist Molly Tuttle for a series of special in-store events this fall.
According to a statement from the companies, the Molly Tuttle Guitar Workshop and Q&A series will take place at select Guitar Center locations in conjunction with Tuttle’s Highway Knows Tour. Each stop will feature “an intimate, acoustic performance” where Tuttle will demonstrate techniques from her own songs, followed by a Q&A with the audience. To cap it off, Gibson Gives—the philanthropic division of Gibson—will provide an Epiphone J-45 Express acoustic guitar in Ebony to be raffled off at each event.

“I started playing guitar when I was eight years old and have always enjoyed spending time at guitar stores, admiring and learning about the different instruments on display,” Tuttle shares. “I’m thrilled to partner with Guitar Center and Gibson to host workshops where I get to shed some light on my playing style, answer your questions, and give away guitars to aspiring players at Guitar Center stores along my fall tour stops!”
Event Schedule:
All workshops begin at 11:30 a.m. local time:
- 9/10 – Chicago, IL (2633 N Halsted St)
- 9/17 – Boston, MA (1255 Boylston St)
- 9/30 – Savannah, GA (7700 Abercorn St)
- 10/4 – Atlanta, GA (2480 Briarcliff Rd NE, Ste 13)
- 10/25 – Denver, CO (1585 S Colorado Blvd)
The workshop series comes during a landmark year for Tuttle, who recently released her fifth full-length album, So Long Little Miss Sunshine, via Nonesuch Records. NPR described the record as “magical,” while it debuted at No. 4 on the Americana Radio Album Chart. The project is deeply personal, featuring songs about reinvention and self-acceptance, and its cover art reflects Tuttle’s lifelong journey with alopecia areata.

Lead single “That’s Gonna Leave A Mark” became her most successful radio track to date, spending five weeks at No. 1 on Americana Radio and breaking into the Top 20 on AAA radio. Tuttle has also been featured on CBS Saturday and NPR’s World Cafe in support of the release.
Produced by Jay Joyce in Nashville, So Long Little Miss Sunshine includes 12 tracks, among them a bold cover of Icona Pop and Charli XCX’s “I Love It.”
Alongside the workshops, Tuttle and her live band—Mair Meyer (mandolin), Ellen Angelico (electric and steel guitar), Vanessa McGowan (bass), and Megan Jane (drums)—will continue her Highway Knows Tour across the U.S.
