A post-Christmas end of year homecoming saw east LA rock legends Los Lobos grace the stage of The Canyon at The Rose in Pasadena, CA. Featuring a line-up that includes founding members David Hidalgo (vocals, guitar, accordion, fiddle, requite garrote), Louis Perez (drums, guitar, jarring huasteca, vocals), and Cesar Rosas (vocals, guitar, bag sexto), and Conrad Lozano ( bass, guitarron, vocals), Steve Berlin, keyboards, woodwinds, guitar), Enrique González (drums, percussion), and touring percussionist Marcos Reyes, a standing-room crowd was treated to a 90 minute set of some of the best Tex-Mex, country, zydeco, R&B and soul-influenced rock & roll west of the Mississippi. Touring in support of their critically acclaimed debut Christmas release Llegó Navidad (Rhino Records), fans were treated to an 18 song set featuring fan favorites “La Bamba,” “Come On, Let’s Go” and “Don’t Worry Baby.” Los Lobos continues its west coast concert tour through January.
Serving as self-appointed ambassadors to their East LA community, Los Lobos shot the video for the single, “Christmas and You” in their Boyle Heights neighborhood.
