Gibson Custom Releases New Acoustic Models

Gibson Custom has unveiled four of Gibson’s most popular acoustic guitar models. The J-45, Hummingbird, SJ-200, and the Songwriter EC acoustics from the Gibson Custom Shop retain the classic features and sound that players love but with new cosmetic appointments that are inspired by the legendary Les Paul Custom. This quartet of  Gibson Custom acoustics is available worldwide at authorized, premium Gibson Custom dealers and on www.gibson.com.

The Gibson Les Paul Custom™ came to life when Les Paul himself requested a guitar that “looks like a tuxedo.” Now, this timeless aesthetic is available on a quartet of stunning acoustic guitars from Gibson Customhandcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, with premium appointments and finished in gloss Ebony nitrocellulose lacquer. With their Ebony finishes and Custom-inspired cosmetics, including multi-ply bindingmother-of-pearl block fretboard inlays, and the Custom split diamond headstock inlay, these Gibson Custom acoustics have the “tuxedo” appointments and visual appeal of the legendary Les Paul Custom. The solid Sitka spruce top used on Gibson Custom acoustic guitars is a classic tonewood that provides a rich, well-balanced, and highly responsive tone. The onboard L.R. Baggs™ Session VTC electronics include an onboard preamp and under-saddle piezo pickup, making these exceptional guitars stage and studio-ready from the moment you first take them out of their hardshell cases.
