Craig Locicero: I’m a simple man with simple gear. The pedal that I can’t do without these days is the MXR / Jim Dunlop lil’ “Timmy” overdrive. On top of my EVH 5150 II blue channel gain stage, I just add a a Satan’s baby breath of the Timmy pedal gain in front of the amp.
I am not what I would consider a high gain player compared to most of my contemporaries and prefer to hear the strings in a chord more than distortion. This combination works very well for me and I wouldn’t wanna go anywhere without my lil’ Timmy!
