As tour manager for The Allman Brothers for more than 25 years, as well as a photographer for over 40 years, Kirk West used his skills to document the Brothers from 1973 to their last performance in 2014, covering all the travels, the split-ups, the solo and side projects, writing sessions, jams, hunting trips and every Beacon Theatre show. The book includes more than 350 images, all published here for the first time. Fans of The Allman Brothers Band will dig not only the great individual portraits of each band member, but also West’s shoot-from-the-hip comments and the amusing backstage shots (the bros with Don Rickles and Johnny Carson) and performance shots featuring Dan Aykroyd, Willie Dixon, Stephen Stills, Paul Butterfield, Mick Taylor, Carlos Santana, Zakk Wylde and many more.
