AIMP Luncheon: Music Industry Toolbox, Software and Services

The Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) and The California Copyright Conference (CCC) will co-host their fourth Music Industry Toolbox, featuring leading firms in music management software and services essential to the music industry as well as all major North American PRO’s including ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and SOCAN. The show has grown each year allowing music industry professionals to connect with industry leaders in technology and services in an informal atmosphere.

The event is presented free of charge as a service to all music industry professionals from record labels, publishing companies, major networks, managers, lawyers and self-published artists.

The Music Industry Toolbox will be held at The American Federation of Musicians Local 47 (817 Vine Street, Hollywood) on Thursday, Sept. 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will give the music community-at-large an opportunity to meet with these providers in an intimate setting, including demonstrations and workshops. There will be complimentary snacks and beverages.

Exhibitors will showcase their software and services in the main room as well as offer workshops in a private demonstration room. Attendees are encouraged to register for the event to facilitate entrance and to take advantage of the private exhibitor demonstrations.

“The AIMP is so thrilled to be bringing back this fantastic event with the CCC after a break of a few years,” said Michael Eames, president of the AIMP and PEN Music Group. “The music landscape is so dependent on software tools and services these days that this event is going to serve such an important need in the community.”

Executive Director of the AIMP and Associate Director of BMI, Barbie Quinn, who is coordinating the event, adds to Fames’ comments, “We're thrilled to have such a high caliber of exhibitors at this year's MIT. Combined with expanded areas of interest, we hope to provide an event which is engaging and educational for everyone."

New aspects to the event this year include a keynote by Ruth Vitale, CEO of CreativeFuture, “Ask An Expert” presented by Reel Muzik Werks and music business books for purchase courtesy of Book Soup, either pre-signed or signed in person by the author(s).
