M Music & Musicians Magazine has also been named the evening’s media partner.

“Women in Music is proud to celebrate the spectacular year we and our members have had at Webster Hall’s Grand Ballroom – a new, bigger venue for this event. Growth was a major theme for WIM in 2016. We grew more rapidly than any other year prior, a testament to how necessary organizations like WIM are for our industry! We believe that the conversation around women’s rights and equality is one that is inclusive of everyone and we’re honored to continue to lead that conversation as we’ve done for the last three decades. As we turn to 2017, we’ll continue to find new and valuable ways serve our members as effectively as possible,” says Women in Music President Jessica Sobhraj.

“In addition to our existing chapters (Boston, DC, New York), WIM launched new chapters in major markets such as L.A., Nashville, Chicago, Brazil and the Caribbean in 2016. We’re now a truly global organization,“ adds Women in Music Vice President, Jennifer Newman Sharpe.
